We are pleased to announce that a meeting of the international metals conservation community will be held at Cardiff University in the heart of the Welsh capital city with hybrid access for online delegates.

Metal 2025 will build on the traditions established during 30 years of ICOM-CC Metals Working Group Interim Meetings, whilst being independent for the first time. Published preprints will be available digitally for delegates and as a print on demand digital volume following the meeting.

The conference will take place of five full days from the 1st - 5th September 2025, with a packed programme of papers, site visits and evening events. Pre-conference courses will be held on the 31st August and will be led by specialists in the field.
