 m the perspectives of materials studiesand art history. By bringing togeth
 er experts from various disciplines\, the event aims to foster acomprehens
 ive discussion on the artistic\, technical\, and historical significance o
 f these works of art.Special attention will be given to issues of material
 ity\, workshop practices\, artistic exchanges\, and theconservation-restor
 ation of stucco-marble. The conference aims to shed light not only on the 
 aestheticand symbolic significance of these altars but also on the wide ra
 nge of methodological approachescurrently used for their research\, preser
 vation\, and interpretation.The working language of the conference will be
